There has been a lot of controversy around the movie The Kerala Story, with many seeking a ban on the movie.
There has been a lot of debate around the number of girls from Kerala who have been converted to Islam and forced into the Islamic State. While the numbers can be debated, there are however some documented cases probed by the Kerala Police and the Central agencies that speak about women from the state being tricked or trapped and then forced into joining the Islamic State.
In this context let us revisit the case of Nimisha, who the agencies say was converted forcibly and then sent off to Afghanistan.
