From the times when the Valley lived in fear and terror and was scared of even displaying the Tiranga, this Independence day was drastically different. Family members of active terror commanders of the Lashkar-e-Tayiba and Hizbul Mujahideen hoisted the Tricolour at their residences in the Valley.
New Delhi, Aug 16: August 15, 2022 was a landmark day in the history of India. The nation celebrated 75 years of India’s independence on August 15 and the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign not just aroused the sentiments of every India, but did more than that.
In Jammu and Kashmir, the abrogation of Article 370 and the no-nonsense policy of the Union Government has brought about several changes. On August 15, it was a day to witness when the Tiranga flew atop the house of active terrorists in the Valley.
