As clamour to ban PFI grows louder, here is what the NIA said about the organisation


New Delhi, Apr 15: The clamour to ban the Popular Front of India (PFI) has become louder. There were calls for banning the outfit following the anti-CAA riots. This time around the ban call is following the violence that broke out during Ram Navami.

The Union Government is mulling a ban this time around and a decision is likely within the next couple of days. Once banned, the PFI’s offices will close down and it would cease to exist as an organisation.
