New Delhi, Dec 10: With India’s first Chief of Defence Staff, General Bipin Rawat passing away in an air crash on Wednesday, the Cabinet Committee on Security is likely to meet next week to select a new CDS.
Sources tell OneIndia that the meeting is likely to take next week and a decision will be taken on whom to appoint as the next Chief of Defence Staff. If the government decides to pick a CDS from the Army, then its chief, General M M Naravane is the frontrunner.
