New Delhi,June 29: 96 per cent newly elected MPs to the Rajya Sabha are crorepatis.The affidavits analysed by the National Election Watch (NEW) and Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) has also found that of the 57 MPs, 13 (23%) MPs have declared criminal cases against themselves.
The top three richest MPs in the Rajya Sabha are Praful Patel, Kapil Sibal and Satish Chandra Mishra with assets worth Rs 252 crore, 212 crore and 193 crore respectively. The MPs will the lowest assets Anil Madhav, Ram Kumar and Pradeep Tamta with assets worth Rs 60 lakh, 86 lakh and Rs 1 crore respectively.
